A HETAS registered installer self-certifies that the stove meets Building Regulations (Approved Document J) and notifies your local council. The alternative is paying Building Control to inspect the work. Tru-Heating is HETAS registered, so every installation is self-certified with an official certificate.
Can you install a wood burning stove without an existing chimney?
Yes. Where there is no masonry chimney we fit an insulated twin-wall flue system that runs internally or up an external wall, to HETAS and Building Regulations standards.
How long does a stove installation take?
A straightforward install into an existing chimney is usually one day. A new twin-wall flue system, or work that involves opening up a fireplace or building a hearth, typically takes two to three days.
